Shopify Development

Shopify theme builds and customization, Hydrogen headless storefronts, clean product catalogs and Google Merchant Center feeds that stay in sync.

Shopify handles checkout, payments and order management well. What separates one store from another is the storefront, the catalog and how products reach Google. 1REALTOUR builds and customizes Shopify themes, develops headless storefronts with Hydrogen when a theme is too limiting, and sets up product data so Shopping listings stay accurate.

Theme builds and customization

For most stores, a well-built theme is the right choice. We start from a solid Online Store theme and customize sections, product templates and collection pages so your team can edit content in the theme editor without calling a developer.

  • Custom sections and blocks your team can reuse
  • Product pages with variant logic, size guides and bundles
  • Collection filtering and sorting that match how customers shop
  • Speed work: image sizes, app cleanup and script loading
  • Accessibility fixes for keyboard use, contrast and form labels

We also audit installed apps. Stores often collect apps that overlap, slow the page or leave code behind after removal. We remove what is not used, replace small apps with theme code where that is simpler, and document what each remaining app does.

Headless storefronts with Hydrogen

Hydrogen is Shopify's toolkit for headless storefronts. It handles the Shopify-specific parts that are easy to get wrong, such as the cart, variant selection, collection filtering and analytics, and it works with frameworks like React Router and Next.js. Shopify still provides the Storefront API, customer accounts and checkout.

Headless makes sense when you need content-heavy pages, a custom editorial experience, content from a headless CMS such as Payload, or one front end that serves several stores. It also adds hosting and maintenance work, so we recommend it only when a theme cannot meet the requirement.

Product catalogs that hold up

A messy catalog causes problems everywhere: in search, in filters, in feeds and in reports. We set up product types, tags, metafields and variant options consistently, and we import or clean up large catalogs from spreadsheets or other platforms. When moving from WooCommerce or another store, we map old product URLs to new ones with redirects so search traffic is not lost.

Google Merchant Center feeds

Shopify's Google & YouTube sales channel syncs products to Google Merchant Center. The sync works only as well as the product data behind it. We fill in titles, descriptions, GTINs or brand and MPN, product categories, shipping and return settings, then fix the disapprovals and warnings Merchant Center reports. We also check that GA4 and Google Ads conversion tracking record purchases correctly.

For stores that sell on other channels, we keep one clean product source in Shopify and send it to each channel, rather than editing listings in several places. When a product changes price or goes out of stock, every listing updates from the same record.

How we work

  1. Step 1

    Review

We look at your current store, catalog, apps, traffic and the problems your team runs into each week.

  2. Step 2

    Plan

We decide between a theme and a headless build, and agree on catalog structure and integrations.

  3. Step 3

    Build

We develop on a separate theme or preview environment, so your live store keeps selling.

  4. Step 4

    Launch

We test checkout, tracking and feeds, publish, and watch orders and Merchant Center status after launch.

Frequently asked questions

What is Shopify Hydrogen?
Shopify Hydrogen is Shopify's toolkit for building headless storefronts. It provides the Storefront API client, cart, product and collection logic, and analytics, and it works with frameworks such as React Router and Next.js. Shopify still runs checkout, payments and customer accounts behind a Hydrogen storefront.
Do I need a headless Shopify store?
Most stores do not need a headless Shopify build. A customized theme is faster to launch, cheaper to maintain and easy for staff to edit. A headless storefront is worth considering when a store needs heavy custom content, a design a theme cannot support or one front end for several brands.
Why are my products disapproved in Google Merchant Center?
Google Merchant Center disapproves products for reasons such as missing identifiers, mismatched prices, missing shipping or return details, or policy issues. Shopify's Google & YouTube channel passes along whatever product data the store holds. 1REALTOUR corrects the store data and settings so the synced products meet Merchant Center requirements.
Can you move my store from WooCommerce to Shopify?
Yes. 1REALTOUR migrates products, customers and order history where possible, rebuilds the design on a Shopify theme and maps every old product and category URL to its new address with redirects. We test the redirects before launch to protect search rankings.
Can my team edit the Shopify store after launch?
Yes. 1REALTOUR builds Shopify themes with reusable sections and blocks, so staff can change banners, page content, collections and product details in the theme editor. Changes that need code, such as a new template or app integration, go through us. We train your team on the editor before launch.
