Custom CRM Development

CRMs, client portals, sales pipelines, appointment tools and lead routing built around how your team already works, connected to the tools you already use.

Off-the-shelf CRMs fit many businesses, but some teams spend more time working around the software than with it. 1REALTOUR builds custom CRMs and client portals in Laravel with Filament or in Next.js, and we also set up and extend open-source CRMs such as Twenty when that is the better fit. The result tracks your leads, jobs and clients in the order your business actually handles them.

When a custom CRM makes sense

A custom build is worth it when your process has steps that generic tools cannot model well, when per-seat fees grow faster than the team, or when data is spread across spreadsheets, inboxes and several apps. It is not worth it when a standard tool already fits and the only problem is setup. We will tell you which case you are in.

  • Contractors tracking a job from estimate to permit, install and final payment
  • Service businesses that need appointment slots tied to staff and locations
  • Organizations managing members, donors, events and volunteers in one place
  • Teams that want clients to see project status without emailing for updates

What we build

Pipelines and lead routing

Leads from web forms, calls, texts and ad platforms land in one list with their source. Routing rules assign each lead by service, location or schedule, and the assigned person gets notified by email or text.

Client portals

Clients log in to see project status, shared documents, invoices and updates. Your team posts an update once, and the client sees it without a separate email thread.

Appointment tools

Booking pages that respect staff calendars, travel time and service type, with confirmations and reminders by email or text.

Reports and dashboards

Lead source, close rate, job value and time in each stage, filtered by salesperson, service or month.

Integrations

A CRM is only useful if information reaches it without retyping. We connect your website forms, call tracking, SMS, email marketing, e-signature, accounting and calendars. Where a direct API exists, we use it. For lighter connections, we use automation tools such as n8n or Zapier so your team can see and change the flow later.

Common connections include website and landing page forms, call tracking that attaches the ad source to each call, two-way SMS, Klaviyo or other email lists, Documenso for signed estimates and contracts, accounting software for invoices, and Google or Microsoft calendars for appointments. Each integration is logged, so when a record looks wrong, we can see which system sent what and when.

Ownership and upkeep

You own the code and the data. We document the data model and deployment, keep dependencies updated, back up the database and monitor the application. Access is limited by role, so a field crew sees its jobs and an office manager sees billing.

How we work

  1. Step 1

    Map

We sit with the people who will use the system and write down each step, field and handoff.

  2. Step 2

    Design

We agree on the data model, screens and integrations before writing production code.

  3. Step 3

    Build in stages

We ship the core pipeline first, then add the portal, scheduling and reports, so your team uses it early.

  4. Step 4

    Migrate and train

We import existing records, check them with your team and train each role.

  5. Step 5

    Support

We host, monitor, back up and update the system, and add features as your process changes.

Technologies we use

Frequently asked questions

Should I build a custom CRM or use an existing one?
An existing CRM is usually the faster and cheaper choice when your process is common and the tool fits after setup. A custom CRM makes sense when your workflow has steps generic tools handle badly, or when you need a client portal and integrations that would otherwise take several paid apps. 1REALTOUR reviews your process and recommends one or the other.
What technology do you use for custom CRMs?
1REALTOUR builds custom CRMs mostly in Laravel with Filament for the admin side, or in Next.js when the project needs a custom customer-facing interface. Data is stored in PostgreSQL. For teams that want an open-source CRM rather than a custom one, we set up and extend Twenty CRM.
Can a custom CRM import data from my current system?
Yes. 1REALTOUR imports contacts, deals, notes and files from spreadsheets or from an export of your current CRM. We map old fields to the new data model, run a test import and have your team check a sample before the final move.
Who owns a custom CRM that 1REALTOUR builds?
The client owns the code and the data of a custom CRM that 1REALTOUR builds. We document the system so another developer could maintain it. Clients can keep 1REALTOUR on for hosting, updates and new features, or hand the system to their own team.
Can clients log in to see their project?
Yes. A client portal lets each customer log in and see their project status, documents, invoices and updates. Clients see only their own records, and staff control what is shared.
