OneUptime
OneUptime is an open-source observability platform for uptime monitoring, status pages, incidents, on-call alerting, logs, metrics and traces.
What OneUptime is
OneUptime is an open-source observability platform. It brings uptime monitoring, status pages, incident management, on-call scheduling, logs, metrics and traces into one product. OneUptime can be used as a cloud service or self-hosted, and its source code is public.
Monitors check websites, APIs, SSL certificates, DNS and other targets on a schedule from probe locations. When a check fails, OneUptime can open an incident, alert the people on call and update a public status page so customers know what is happening.
What OneUptime handles
- Website, API, SSL certificate and DNS monitoring
- Public and private status pages
- Incidents with timelines and notes
- On-call schedules and escalation
- Logs, metrics and traces from applications
Why monitoring matters for a business site
Without monitoring, a business often learns its site is down from a customer, or from a drop in leads days later. Uptime checks catch outages within minutes. Certificate monitoring warns before an SSL certificate expires and browsers show a security warning. Checks on contact forms and checkout pages catch failures that a simple home page check would miss.
Status pages
A status page gives customers and staff one place to see whether a service is working, what is being done and when it was resolved. It reduces support calls during an incident and builds a record of reliability over time.
OneUptime fits businesses with websites, stores and applications where downtime costs leads or sales. Monitoring is most useful when someone is responsible for acting on the alerts it sends, and when alerts go to a channel that person actually watches.
How we use it
1REALTOUR uses OneUptime to monitor client websites, stores and web applications around the clock. For client projects we set up uptime, SSL and key page checks, route alerts to the people who respond, and publish status pages where a client wants one.
